" A Boy Named Gage"

My hat goes off to our Mr. Rangel and his Philanthropic society
for helping others... and not expecting anything in return!  Read on...

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please…

Today we gather together, to raise funds for someone in need!

The Philanthropic Society, here at C.F.I.S…

Has chosen a worthy cause, and "helping others" is their quest!

Mr. and Mrs. Churchill, and their little boy Gage…

Need our assistance, to help them turn the page!

Little Gage was diagnosed with leukemia, in August of 2010…

The treatments are expensive, a "helping hand" we can lend!

The Chemo makes him sick, so help us find a cure…

It'll help ease the pain, and help the family endure!

The money that is raised, will off-set the cost…

With "remission" as the goal, and to make-up for time lost!

So thank you one and all, from the bottom of my heart…

Your efforts should be praised, and that's a wonderful start!

FW: "A New Year's Resolution"

"A New Year's Resolution", is like a promise to yourself…

It's about a better life, and usually improves your health!

It's a public declaration, or a well-intentioned vow…

A statement of determination, the time to start is now!

Coach has some advice, to help keep you on track…

Focus on your goals; don't let failure hold you back!

Write down your resolution, and have a plan for achieving it…

Act fast and have faith, it's a matter of believing it!

Don't bite-off more than you can chew… just

Choose one or two goals, something you WANT to do!

Track small progress, improvement will often stall…

Think about the long-term, cuz you're in for the long haul!

If you fall off the wagon, there's no need for confusion….

Get right back on, to resolve a "New Year's Resolution"!

FW: " Holiday Treats "

It happens every year, after a Thanksgiving feast...
we'll get a box of goodies, filled with "holiday treats"!

A gift from my Mother, because she loves to bake...
my stomach sorta growls, as I spot the carrot cake!

I snag a pecan sno-ball, and finger a macaroon....
I admire the almond clusters, as I hum a Christmas tune!

I see three loaves of bread, with cranberry, dates and zucchini...
don't forget the peanut-brittle, the fudge must be Houdini!

I like the little round ones, like chocolate covered Ritz...
I always love the "no-bake", every year they're big hits!

Packed together carefully, in a basket shaped like a heart...
tied together with Love, it's quite a piece of art!

So Thank you once again, we love you and you're sweet...
know you've made us happy, with your "holiday treats"!
